Austin Staffing, Inc. Wants to assist a manufacturer with a few years of electrical manufacturing experience to become a Gauger. The new Gauger will be responsible for completing the strain gauge (strain gage) application processes. You will prepare the materials, apply the gauges, adjust the settings, and wiring as a Gauger. If you can follow instructions and solder, then here is your chance to start a career as a Gauger.
-Preparing the surface of the product for gauge application
-Properly installing gauges, testing, and wiring per prints and specifications
-Ability to review drawings, schematics and test instructions for required assemblies
-Responsible for production schedule commit dates and exceptions as needed
-Maintain accurate tool lists and supplies for the work center; 5S Knowledge and demonstration a plus
-Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve assembly issues as required
-Strict adherence to Company Safety Policies and regulations
-Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
-Ability to write correspondence.
-Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
-With basic soldering skills and the ability to learn the specific requirements.
-Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
-Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
-Ability to work independently or as part of a team
-Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot electronics
-Well organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
-Ability to lift 50 lbs.
-High School Diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing
-Basic soldering skills and the ability to learn specific requirements
-Experience with reading and interpreting schematics/drawings is an asset
